With “Horizon: Zero Dawn”, “Days Gone” and today also “God of War”, various first-party games from PlayStation Studios have recently found their way onto the PC. In recent months, Sony Interactive Entertainment has stepped up its efforts on the PC several times. With Nixxes Software, not only was a new studio taken over, which is supposed to support the company in the work on the PC ports of selected first-party titles. At the same time, formerly PlayStation-exclusive titles have been released for the PC in the recent past. These include Guerrilla Games’ action role-playing game “Horizon: Zero Dawn”, the open-world adventure “Days Gone” developed by Sony Bend or the action firework “God of War”, which is available today for PC and Steam. As Cory Barlog, the game director behind 2018’s God of War, noted in an interview with Game Informer, this development is due to the various PlayStation studios themselves, which should not be underestimated.

“I think it was the collective of studios everywhere that said this was a really good idea. We should investigate. At some point I think it reached this turning point. When we sent so many suggestions from the suggestion box, they said, ‘I’m tired of hearing all this. Fine, we’ll do it,’” Cory Barlog elaborated.
