SERVPRO of Southeast Nevada is on target to hit its $100,000 goal for the American Red Cross, Southern Nevada Chapter’s 100th anniversary. The fifth “Service to Armed Forces” Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, Nov. 3 will raise funds with the help of local moving and storage company PODS of Las Vegas, who will serve as a major sponsor and provide logistical support for the event.

The tournament will kick off at Revere Golf Club, 2600 Hampton Road, Henderson, with registration at 6:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 7:30 am. Following the tournament, an awards and recognition banquet will be held.

“It has always been important for us to give back to the community we serve, especially when it comes to serving our veterans.” expressed Mike Smith, Vice President of Operations for PODS of Las Vegas. “Partnering with SERVPRO in this amazing tournament for the Southern Nevada Chapter of American Red Cross to provide logistical support during their 100th anniversary is such an honor.”
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Southern Nevada American Red Cross, this year’s goal is to raise $25,000-$30,000 to meet the overall goal of raising $100,000 over the past 5 years. Last year’s tournament raised $22,593, putting them at an overall $80,000 over the past four tournaments. The funds raised are for the Armed Forces families and personal to pay for medical expenses, housing, food, clothing and plane fare.

“There have been many hours put into this event and we’re so thankful to work alongside an outstanding team like PODS Las Vegas, who has helped us reach our goals so that all of the proceeds from this event will go to the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross, “Service to Armed Forces” division,” said Dawn Kyles Executive Administrator for SERVPRO of Southeast Nevada. “Both of our companies are passionate about the people in our community, especially our men and women of the Armed Forces, so we hope that we can hit our overall goal to show our gratitude for all they’ve done for our community.”
