Samsung galaxy s8 users are bound to get the update soon and new uses could get mobile for less than 500$

India, 8th March 2018: "Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update. We are investigating the issue internally to ensure that the impact to the affected devices is minimized and the rollout of the update can resume as quickly as possible," Samsung told sammobile in a statement.

The company said that investigations were on and that it would resume the roll out soon. Sammobile reports that Samsung is rolling out new firmware version G950FXXU1CRB7 and G955XXU1CRB7 for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+.

Samsung already took a lot of time to release Oreo update for Galaxy S8s. The update remained in beta phase also for quite some time. The update was finally released in select international markets such as France, India, Norway and Turkey. However the company, within a week, had to halt the roll out citing reboot issues.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is on sale at Amazon for $599, down from the previous $724.99 price. The reduction arrives soon after pre-orders for its successor, the Galaxy S9, went live.

The S8 can be picked up in Midnight Black with 64 GB of onboard storage, while the larger Galaxy S8 Plus, has been brought down to $723.62 from $824.99. By comparison, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus cost $719.99 and $839.99 respectively.

The latest Oreo update has gone live in Germany first and will later to roll out other markets. The Android Oreo runs with Samsung's Experience 9.0, formerly known as TouchWiz, skin on top.

The new Experience 9.0 UI includes features such as new high-contrast keyboards, new set of emojis and keyboards, shortcut to Cloud, Night Vision and more. User can see the Samsung Cloud usage right on the dashboard. There is also a feature that allows you to use dual two accounts for the same messaging app on one phone.

The S8 price is yet to see similar reductions through official carrier partners. The cheapest you’ll find with the major carriers is through AT&T for $654.99, while it’s sitting at $696.99 with T-Mobile and $749 at Sprint.

The Galaxy S8 comes with a bezel-less 5.8-inch display with QHD+ resolution and Snapdragon 835 chipset. It’s still a good buy in 2018, though it’s yet to receive Android Oreo in the US (and this isn’t the best sale we’ve ever seen on it).

Find the deals at the link below but note that you may have to tap “these sellers” and find the Amazon listing under “seller information” to pick up the Galaxy S8. Let us know if you think this is a bargain in the comments.
