Raw Love Supporting The #MeToo Movement

Raw love, a collaborative fundraising organization supporting awareness of global causes debuts its first appearance on the global circuit with a philanthropic fundraising event to support Denim Day NYC, raising awareness for sexual assault and domestic violence. The event will be a CBD-infused tapas style dinner which will be served using woodworks from Sustainably Sliced by Alexandra Climent, a sustainable woodworker who uses sustainable woods from the South American jungles. Raw love will also serve a “Raw Love Potion” infused with CBD prepared by top executive chef Kimberly Barrett, founder of Enjoy Cannabis Desserts. The after party is by House of Yes, “Art Pop,” by Marina Farina.

"Peace Over Violence (POV), a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles, organized the first Denim Day event in 1999. Wearing jeans on Denim Day became a visible means of protest against myths that surround sexual assault. Under POV’s leadership, the Denim Day campaign became an international movement. Every year in April, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Denim Day NYC stands in solidarity with advocates around the world to raise awareness about sexual violence.

Sustainably Sliced began when woodworker Alexandra Climent was first exposed to the beauty of certain species of exotic wood while in the jungles of Central and South America. It was born out of her fervent belief that showcasing such magnificent species of wood is contingent solely upon responsible and sustainable sourcing. Alexandra has been featured in publications such “Nylon Mag” as an It Girl and New York Magazine’s “Design Hunting.”
