Philanthropist, Entrepreneur & Rising Star, Marina Acton Donates $100,000 at Steven Tyler charity event

Recently Marina Acton attended Steven Tyler’s charity function- Janie's Fund — which is named after Aerosmith's 1989 hit "Janie's Got a Gun" — in 2015 with partner organization Youth Villages to benefit young women who have been victims of abuse, so that they can continue to provide uplifting and needed support for Janie’s Fund. Janie's Fund is a philanthropic initiative created to bring hope and healing for many of our country's most vulnerable girls who have suffered the trauma of abuse and neglect. On an average, there are 321,500 victims (age 12 or older) of rape and sexual assault each year in the United States. It offers residential accommodations for up to 30 girls per year, with access to 24-hour medical care and therapeutic support. Marina said that she strongly support the cause and would be really happy if she could do anything to help the female victims and protect the women and hence she donated $100,000 for the cause with all her heart. With 500 guests assembled, Tyler raised $2.4 million. All the money raised will go toward supporting and protecting female victims of sexual abuse and trauma.

It was a wonderful event, Marina was a co-chair person along with Yoho Ono, Sir Elton John, Lionel Richie, Kate Hudson, Jim Kerry and Britney Spears and other famous celebrities. She also shared the table with Sharon Stone, one of my most famous actress, who also stands with the cause of supporting the abused and neglected girls. Marina said she being a women, understand how tough and painful life must be for the female victims who have suffered abuse in their lives. Also, being a mother-to-be, she care for her own child’s safety and want every child to lead a safe and healthy life – each one of them deserves it! She said she also believe in empowering the female victims, so that they lead a better life and build a better and bright future for themselves. She seemed to really do appreciate the initiative taken by Steven Tyler and she seemed happy that she could be of some help to the victims and towards such a brilliant cause. She herself strongly believes in providing for the upliftment, empowerment and betterment of the ones in need. She added that It gives her immense satisfaction to be able to help the people in need and for the betterment and growth of the society as a whole. She was happy to have done many charitable deeds in the past and shall continue doing it in future with all her heart! She added that it brings joy to her heart and soul to create hopes in the lives of people and act as a ray of sunshine in their lives. She also said that we all wish to see the world a happy and peaceful place to live in and shall keep providing for it in future as well. Which is why, she truly admire Steven Tyler’s initiative to support the girls who have suffered trauma and pain due to abusive experiences and give them a better life.

The star-studded gala with a wonderful cause, was highlighted by a special performance by Tyler. The event also included a VIP reception, a dinner, a live auction, and a speech by Tyler about his charity and the inspiration behind it. Among the many celebrities with whom I attended the gala were Alice Cooper , ex- Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Serum , Sharon Stone , Bo Derek , Caitlyn Jenner, Cheech Marin , David Foster , Randy Jackson , and Pete Wentz. All seemed to have a great time at the event, the cause behind which was also absolutely beautiful and heart touching.
