Microsoft has Announced Ends of Notifications Support for Windows 8, Windows 7 Phones



Microsoft has announced that it will no longer push notifications for Windows 7, Windows 8 phones. According to the sources, they are ending support for all push notification for Windows 7.5 and Windows 8.0 devices. Moreover, Windows 7.5 and Windows 8.0 have extended to their end dates of support, thus the service will be finished over the time. This simply means if you are having Windows 7.6 or Windows 8.0, then you may no longer get software updates notifications.
Once the support ends, a device running on these versions of the Windows OS would have not additional live updates. On the other hand, Windows 7.5 and Windows 8.0 device users will not be able to use the “Find my phone” feature on their handsets. “Find my phone” is a feature that helps the user to find their lost phone.
However, Microsoft will continue to push out the updates to Windows 8.1 and 10 devices. Now the notifications will only continue with Windows 8.1 Phone and new phones running Windows 10 mobile that is still fully supported.
