EarthBag School – Slum Mud Classroom Education Initiative By Lakshyam NGO

14th November lays huge importance on the children, on this day, let’s join hands and hearts (our motto - Hands to Hearts) and celebrate by enlightening the life of underprivileged children. Lakshyam, a social enterprise devoted to the at-risk communities in India, is talking about how they want to change the world for these underprivileged children, how they have changed themselves by having these children around them, what they do every day for these children so they can grow, thrive, attain knowledge, play, follow their dreams in a safe, equitable world.
Lakshyam NGO feel honoured to give you one-off an opportunity to be a part of our Earthbag build, which is a green sustainable school building workshop and volunteering opportunity in Delhi. We, Lakshyam, have a big ambition, to break the isolation of underprivileged children in India, through the powerful combination of basic education and amenities. In India, these underprivileged children are not only disconnected, they were never connected in the first place and world and opportunities shrink at this stage in their life. We want to give these children a strong voice, through the medium which would be very influential in their life – Education.
We are on the cusp of a long and ambitious journey. And we in collaboration with Ms. Shagun Singh, from Geeli Mitti Foundation invite you all to volunteer and join our 10 day workshop to learn Earthbags Build and contribute to the cause, which is building a school with a single room classroom in the middle of the slum. The workshop fee is INR 5000, you can pay the entire amount or part of it by way of donating material needed for this campaign, like Gravel, Tarpaulins, Wood, Large Cardboard rolls, Clay soil, Barbed wire, Iron rebars, Tools, etc.

Believe us, joining this would not only boost our confidence but will also help you unburden from your daily chores and chaos. After attending the workshop, you will be awarded the certificate of completion. We guarantee that preparations at our end will surprise you, as you will see a new or we can say an age-old building technique for building Earthbag structures with main ingredient MUD. We will show you how strong these structures are and are efficient enough to withstand both extreme heat and cold for the children.

So, we hope that you with an acceptance of our invitation, have a wonderful time with us at our facility. Volunteer your time and gift a smile and make a dream come true only at Lakshyam NGO.
We seek your participation, contribution and both in-kind and cash donations to this Earthbag Build. To Book a time slot, please call Ms. Raashi Anand at 9540690 ...
